Professional Development
We offer a menu of professional development opportunities ranging from trainings in Project-Based Learning and Human-Centered Design, to webinars and workshops around topics and tools for helping students become future ready. Among them, we provide support for creating Portrait of a Learner, developing frameworks for student plans, strengthening social and emotional skills, storyboarding curriculum designs and more. Partnerships
We work through partnerships to help students and educators explore the world beyond school. Among other ways, we bring classrooms together with companies to create Small-Group Career Mentoring experiences and we work with employers and post-secondary programs to create Educator in the Workforce experiences for educators who want to learn about our region’s employers, industries, high-demand jobs, the skills their students will need to pursue them, and how they’ll apply the subjects you’re teaching them in the workplace.
Video Resources
We’ve created a storehouse of on-demand resources for educators and students. Our Career Journeys video series features interviews with professionals who discuss their career paths, the training they needed, and the day-to-day realities of their jobs. Our Elementary Future Readiness library helps educators think through their approach to helping young learners begin to explore who they are and what opportunities for their futures are available. In addition to these classroom resources, we offer educators an explanatory series of videos on Human-Centered Design.
