If you want to empathize with someone else, and to really understand their perspective and experience, interviewing is a great place to start. For students, learning to interview others effectively also builds active listening skills and clearer communication. Conducting an effective interview often requires pre-work, thoughtfulness, and an open mind. This video is packed with advice for getting the most out of a conversation.
