As schools everywhere open for the fall and businesses find their employees back from vacations, now is the time to think about potential partnerships for the 2025-2026 school year. Offerings range from the highly curated to the very flexible and everything in between.
Take a look and see how you might find a partnership that works for you, and contact Gina Barrett or Jenn Sethman to get started.
Student Sustainability Design Challenge
The Student Sustainability Design Challenge (SSDC) is a year-long project-based program for middle and high school students in southwestern Pennsylvania designed to raise awareness and community engagement in sustainable practices.
In 2025, there will be two kickoff events in different regions to accommodate growing interest and participation among both schools and businesses. The first kickoff event will be on October 29 at Washington & Jefferson College, and the second kickoff event will be on November 13 at Rodef Shalom.
Businesses, community organizations, and postsecondary partners can get involved by:
- Attending the kickoff to share how organizations increase sustainability and tell students about career pathways through table discussions.
- Serving as a student team’s industry resource throughout the year.
- Becoming a sponsor.
Future Ready Leaders
In Future Ready Leaders (FRL), students work alongside their adult counterparts as colleagues to design experiences for career exploration and build employability skills.
Businesses have the opportunity to host one or more student site visits; present at a FRL meeting; or sponsor the program or a school team.
Educator in the Workforce
Educator in the Workforce (EIW) immerses educators—teachers, counselors, and school leaders—into local workplaces to gain firsthand knowledge about the region’s key industries, employers, and career pathways.
Whether your company has hosted visitors before or not, our team will prepare you to be well-positioned to highlight the most important aspects of your business or industry.
