Career Journeys: Science, Technology, Engineering & Math

The U.S. Department of Labor recently undertook updating their 16 industry clusters, moving to 14 industry clusters. In that move, the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) industry cluster was absorbed into other clusters. While you can still learn about those industry clusters and their economic outlook, over time those resources may go away.

While nearly every career cluster has a career that involves some element of STEM, if you are looking for careers in STEM, try one of these career clusters:

Manufacturing
Advanced Manufacturing

(Most of the engineering careers are here!)

Information Technology
Digital Technology

(Many technology careers live here!)

Energy & Natural Resources

(Lots of these careers involve science!)

Healthcare & Human Services

Many careers in healthcare and human services require science and math skills, applied in specific ways to help people
