Welcome Candice!

Published October 11, 2023 by Debbie Pixton

The Consortium is thrilled to welcome Candice Murrell as a returning member of the Consortium staff. She officially joined us again in September 2023 as a Director of Professional and Student Learning and is excited to embrace this new role. Candice is eager to reconnect with educators and school leaders throughout our region to advance future readiness initiatives.

Candice’s background spans education, business, and nonprofit sectors with an emphasis on program design and development; change management; and talent development. Fueled by a difficult K-12 education experience, Candice began her career as a 5th grade teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina as a Teach for America educator.

Now with nearly 20 years of professional experience and as a mom of twins, she remains passionate about education both professionally and personally. Candice holds a master’s in public management from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s in social work from the University of Pittsburgh.
