School leaders frequently find themselves in professional development opportunities that check a box but don’t support their growth as a leader. Our two Act 45 courses provide administrators with new tools and collaborative growth, as well as the chance to apply that learning directly to existing challenges in their systems.
New for 2025 is our 100% virtual course, Leadership through Design: Enhancing Student Growth and Achievement, which kicks off this summer on June 17. Over five sessions, participants engage with the elements of the design cycle and apply their learnings to a problem they are already managing in their school or district. By completing the course, school leaders can earn up to 25 hours of Act 45 continuing education credit.
Our established, in-person course, Using Human-Centered Design to Support Student Growth and Achievement, will launch a new cohort on September 25. Over five sessions, participants dig into what human-centered thinking means for their leadership, practice that thinking, and apply it with teams in their schools or districts around an existing challenge. Previous challenges have included: transitioning to a four-day week; aligning curriculum; student behavior; chronic absenteeism; school schedules; and more. School leaders who complete the course earn up to 50 hours of Act 45 continuing education credit.
Administrative teams and individuals are encouraged to attend.
