New this year is an opportunity for individual or small teams of educators to participate in our Educator in the Workforce (EIW) program.
EIW immerses educators – teachers, school counselors, school-to-work coordinators, or any educator interested in learning more about the career opportunities for students in their district to learn about the region’s key industries and employers. It provides opportunities for employers to showcase their careers and the pathways that lead to them.
Participating educators can expect to learn more about:
- What skills employers are seeking
- Post-secondary options required for positions within organizations
- Positions that may be available directly after high school
- Potential job shadow, internship, and school-business partnership opportunities
- How the content you teach is applied in real-world situations
