More Snack & Learn sessions scheduled for April

Published March 30, 2021 by Pam Gaynor

Our Snack & Learn series offers more great career learning opportunities for April as well as some presentations about issues young people need to think about as they prepare for post-secondary life. These sessions give students, and the educators trying to help them, a chance to hear people from different occupations share insights about the work they do, what steps to take to get jobs like theirs, and what other kinds of career opportunities their organizations offer. Attendees also have opportunities to ask questions. Anyone wishing to attend these virtual sessions must register in advance.

On the schedule are the following presentations:

Wednesday, April 7, beginning at 11 a.m., staffers from Allegheny Health Network’s Jefferson Hospital will give an overview  of health-related careers.

Wednesday, April 14, beginning at 11 a.m., Citizens Bank will offer a session on credit, how to use it and why it’s critical to achieving financial health and keeping the costs of education down.

Tuesday, April 20, Allegheny Health Network’s Jefferson Hospital offers a session focused exclusively on nursing careers.
