Consortium’s Executive Director appointed to Team PA Board

Published June 26, 2024 by Debbie Pixton

The Consortium is both honored and proud to announce the appointment of its Executive Director, Jackie Foor, to the Board of Directors of the Team Pennsylvania Foundation, a nonprofit organization devoted to accelerating economic growth in the Commonwealth.

Co-chaired by Gov. Josh Shapiro and a private sector representative, Brian Jackson, Managing Partner of McNees, Wallace & Nurick, LLC, Team PA is a nonpartisan public-private partnership that encourages cross-sector collaboration to accelerate the state’s economic growth. It focuses on five key sectors identified as holding high growth potential for Pennsylvania, including agriculture, energy, manufacturing, life sciences, and innovation/technology.

Foor was one of 14 new directors appointed Tuesday at the Governor’s Mansion, according to a news release Team PA issued.

“We’re delighted about Jackie’s appointment. It not only reflects well on the Consortium, but it also recognizes how well-suited she is to helping advance Team PA’s agenda,” said CPE Board Chairman Jordan Pallitto. “Jackie has first-hand experience with cross-sector partnerships and also offers the dual perspective of someone with a background in both in education and workforce development.”

“I’m truly honored,” said Foor. “I’ve always admired the thoughtful and innovative approach Team PA takes to building our state’s economic foundation. I’m delighted for the opportunity to contribute to their work and serve as an advocate for public education.”

Other Board representatives from the private sector include leaders of business and industry, academia, organized labor, and nonprofit organizations. Representatives from the public sector include leaders from all four caucuses of the Pennsylvania legislature and the secretaries from four agencies: the Pennsylvania Departments of Agriculture, Community & Economic Development, Education, and Labor & Industry.
