Contributing to youth workforce summit

Published April 30, 2024 by Debbie Pixton

Our Executive Director, Jackie Foor, was honored to serve both as a co-presenter for a workshop and as a participant for a panel discussion in late April at the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association’s (PWDA)  Next Generation Youth Workforce Summit. In the breakout, which she co-presented with UPMC, Foor discussed the role intermediaries like the Consortium play in connecting employers to K-12 schools and shared the Consortium’s guide for employers hosting worksite visits for students. Among other things, the panel discussed the role employers can play in helping students see the relevance of classroom learning to future jobs.
