Welcome Lindsay and Lance!

Published September 29, 2026 by Debbie Pixton

The Consortium is thrilled to announce the addition of two new staff members – Lindsay Forman, Director of Partnerships, and Lance Harrell, Director of Pathways.

Lindsay Forman comes to CPE most recently from Carnegie Mellon University as the K-12 Coordinator for the Simon Initiative where she brought together faculty’s expertise with community partners, and worked to connect them to K-12 through student programs, educator professional development, and more. However, Lindsay began her career as a high school STEAM teacher before moving into roles focused on building and brokering connections between schools, universities, workforce and industry, and community partners. She holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh. Across her work, she is especially interested in creating meaningful, dynamic, and sustainable collaborations that expand what’s possible for students and educators while responding to the needs of schools and communities.

Lance Harrell brings more than 30 years of workforce development, community engagement, and public-private partnership experience across Western Pennsylvania. Most recently, at the Master Builders’ Association of Western Pennsylvania, he founded BuildWPA.org, and connected students across the region to careers in the building trades, including a career tour for 140 CTE students at the 2026 NFL Draft. A Point Park University graduate and former Pittsburgh Public Schools substitute teacher, Lance serves as Board President of Operation Better Block and on the boards of McKees Rocks CDC and the Young Preservationists Association. His work rests on a simple belief: students can’t be what they can’t see.

Please be sure to give them a warm welcome!
