Register now for an introductory webinar on Human-Centered Design

Published September 30, 2021 by Pam Gaynor

This fall, the Consortium is offering two introductory webinars on Human-Centered Design (HCD)–one for school administrators and one for classroom teachers–to provide the basics for understanding how this powerful set of tools can be applied in classrooms, schools, or entire districts.

Educators can register now for a session on at noon on Thursday, October 21. Administrators can register for a separate session at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, October 27.

We’ll specifically explore how HCD can support education and learning and offer some tips, tricks, and design methods to get you started.

HCD is a subset of design thinking, which focuses on empathy as a means for problem-solving—know your students well and instruction will better meet their needs. Understand the challenges facing your community and you can adapt to its priorities.
