Be a Middle School Mentor

In partnership with United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, the Consortium offers the Be A Middle School Mentor program to students in Clairton, McKeesport Area and Woodland Hills school districts.

Usually held in school, our 2020-2021 program will bring students together with adult volunteers for virtual mentoring sessions where kids can talk about school, learn about post-secondary options and enjoy activities.

You can help by volunteering your time, or committing funds to help support volunteer recruitment, training and other program needs. To learn more, contact Gina Barrett at 412-678-9215, x-203 or gbarrett@tcfpe.org. Or, just fill out an application.

Mentoring can make a huge difference for kids. Because of it, some 85% of mentees in the program have at least a 90% school attendance rate. More need this help. The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania estimates more than a thousand kids in our region are waiting for mentors, so sign up today!
