The Consortium for Public Education continues to work diligently toward the goal of ensuring the financial future of the organization.
Support from members of the foundation community remains critical to this effort. Consortium has been fortunate in the long-term commitment these investment partners have made to our work. Gifts from individuals and groups, from businesses large and small; grants from public and private sources; and income from special events all are part of the ongoing fund-raising campaign. At the grassroots level, School Action Committees continue to raise money to support Great Idea Grants in their home school districts. Teachers in several districts contribute to the grant fund via payroll deduction and are active partners in our work.
Our resolve to make the right things happen for children guides every major program grant, targeted initiative, demonstration project and special activity we undertake. Every dollar we seek and win makes a difference somewhere, in someone’s life, in the Mon Valley.
Change for Children is the umbrella term for the Consortium’s many fund-raising efforts. It covers everything from grassroots gifts to major grants.
